IMF denies linking loan programme with Pakistan’s nuclear weapons

ISLAMABAD: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has rubbished claims that the global lender had attached any strings to the revival of a loan programme stalled for months despite the two sides engaged in talks for weeks.
Pakistan has been hosting an IMF mission since early February to negotiate the terms of the deal, including the adoption of policy measures to manage its fiscal deficit ahead of the annual budget due around June.
